As fast-evolving economy, industry, regulation, society and technology bring about abrupt changes in the business environment and increase uncertainty, there is a growing need for more rigorous and systemic risk management. Recognizing this, Pulmuone has introduced ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) to ensure the Company’s survival and competitiveness. By detecting risk at the earliest stages and analyzing it as well as opportunity factors, the process will increase resilience in a crisis by preserving sustainability value. Pulmuone will continue to pursue strategic business management through the ERM system to increase business opportunity and brand value as well.
Pulmuone’s Risk Management Committee effectively monitors and controls risk through both proactive and reactive risk management. Consisting of top management, including the Pulmuone CEO, the Risk Management Committee devises risk management policy and strategy, monitors the risk management status, and oversees the whole process from preemption to response and follow-up. Pulmuone also operates a Risk Management Committee at each business unit to define the unit’s risk pool along with a response strategy and monitoring plan. A Risk Management Department at the Company level, which has staff dedicated to risk management, is in charge of defining risk management policy and procedure and carrying out proactive/reactive risk management against threats to Company sustainability.
