Pulmuone Foods signs “Win-Win Agreement for promotion of Kimchi industry and revitalization of market”
Pulmuone Foods signed a multilateral agreement for the promotion of the kimchi industry and market revitalization with the National Assembly’s Agriculture, Food, Rural Affairs, Oceans & Fisheries Committee, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs, the National Commission for Cooperate Partnership, Kimchi Association of Korea, and Korea Kimchi Seasoned Pickles Food Industry Cooperative Association. With the signing of this agreement, Pulmuone Foods will keep recommendations on types of business suitable for SMEs, strive to actively use excellent agricultural products in the kimchi production process, and promote education, consulting, and information sharing support for SMEs development.

ORGA Whole Foods signs “MOU for spreading green consumption culture”
ORGA Whole Foods will strive to create positive synergy through cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Environmental Civil Groups to promote green consumption culture. ORGA Whole Foods and the Ministry of Environment and Environmental Civil Groups have reached consensus on the severe environmental pollution caused by unnecessary packaging materials generated during the distribution and consumption stage of products. They now plan to launch a movement to spread sustainable green consumption culture by building business cooperation relationships.

Pulmuone Foods signs MOU for HMR automatic cooking cloud service
HMR demand has sharply increased, and various types of products have been launched due to the low birth rate, aging population, and increase of single-person households in our society. However, home cooking appliances and recipes are not keeping up with consumer needs. Pulmuone Foods has signed an agreement with LG Electronics to develop smart home appliance services that enable consumers to easily cook delicious food using the latest cloud technology.

ORGA Whole Foods signs MOU with Wan-do gun and Cheongsan Sea to expand sustainable marine products
As the production volume has fallen due to indiscriminate fishing and marine environment destruction, the domestic fish market is focusing more on sustainable and ethical production. The agreement was signed to reflect this trend in fish markets and to expand cooperation between distributors, local governments, and production partners. This is will lead sustainable marine products being supplied through ASC certification, as well as maximize the synergy effect for all parties involved.

Pulmuone Foodmerce signed an MOU on childcare development with Educare Academy, a consigned education agency of childcare teachers certified by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Pulmuone Foodmerce, a leader in Korea’s kids food materials market, and Educare Academy, Korea’s No. 1 consigned education agency of childcare teachers, have reached consensus and will promote their agreement to improve the quality of Korean childcare teachers and lead the wholesome foods movement.

ORGA Whole Foods has partnered with Mesh Korea, an IT-based logistics start-up that operates Korea’s representative logistics brand “VROONG,” to promote eco-friendly delivery services. Based on this MOU, ORGA Whole Foods, which considers eco-friendliness as its core value, will practice energy conservation and CO2 emission reduction in every area of its business and lay a foundation to expand its O2O (Online to Offline) platform business.

Pulmuone signed an MOU on “Gender Equality and Inclusive Growth Partnership” with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. According to this agreement, Pulmuone will continue to make efforts to “expand female executives by 30%” by 2020 and establish and implement a long-term plan to increase the number of female managers, based on 5 legislative directives. For instance, the company will expand and strengthen the Policies for Nurturing Future Female Talent to support women’s career development, create a flexible working environment to prevent the career breakdown of female workers, develop a corporate culture in which childcare and work can be balanced, and strive to improve gender balance for all positions, including recruitment stages to reflect gender diversity in the decision-making process.

Pulmuone Sam Water signs MOU for “Beat Plastic Pollution” campaign with Korea Association for UN Environment
Pulmuone signed an MOU for the “Beat Plastic Pollution” campaign (an eco-friendly campaign for reducing plastic pollution) with the Korea Association for UN Environment in celebration of Earth Day. Based on the agreement with the Korea Association for UN Environment, Pulmuone Sam Water will implement an eco-friendly campaign to improve awareness about plastic use and reduce plastic pollution. The company plans to actively reduce plastic production by holding upcycling exhibitions using unusable waste plastic bottles, environmental education for teenagers and college students, and environmental purification activities.

Jeollabuk-do and Pulmuone Danone signs MOU on expanding its factory in Muju
Pulmuone Danone signed an MOU to establish mutual cooperation with Muju-gun, Jeollabuk-do by expanding its factory line in Muju. Through this agreement, Pulmuone Danone will invest about 20 billion won in the existing production factory, which is in the 1st agricultural industrial complex located in Muju-gun, Jeollabuk-do. It will expand its line and secure new employee positions in the Muju area, contributing to revitalization of the local economy and mutual development in Jeollabuk-do, including Muju-gun.
