SEOUL – March 26th, 2025 – Pulmuone convened its 18th Open Shareholders’ Meeting on March 26 at the Korea Science and Technology Convention Center in Gangnam, Seoul. Attended by shareholders and employees, the event marked a significant milestone with the official launch of Pulmuone’s second-generation professional management era, signaling the company’s renewed commitment to becoming the global No.1 sustainable food enterprise.
This year’s shareholders’ meeting was the first opportunity for Woo-bong Lee, who took office as General CEO on January 1, to communicate directly with shareholders. Under the overarching theme of “RISE”, the event was designed as an interactive communication platform, where the company’s vision (Revision), achievements (Impact), sustainability focus (Sustainability), and leadership excellence (Excellence) were presented and openly discussed.
In his welcoming address, Chairman of the Board for Pulmuone Hyo-yul Lee stated, “This year marks the 41st anniversary of Pulmuone’s founding and the meaningful launch of our second phase under professional management. “We ask for your continued support and encouragement for General CEO Woo-bong Lee as he steers Pulmuone toward a brighter future and set the cornerstone for the next hundred years.”
Regarding business performance and future vision, he added, “Despite the global economic downturn and crisis last year, Pulmuone achieved its highest-ever sales and operating profit, demonstrating our capabilities and the potential for sustainable growth both domestically and internationally.” He also noted, “This year, we will strengthen profitability in existing overseas markets and expand into new geographies such as Europe."

This year’s meeting was conducted with both in-person attendance and real-time online broadcasting. To enhance shareholder participation, Pulmuone also operated an electronic voting system from March 16 to 25.
During the first part of the shareholders’ meeting, reports were presented on the audit, business operations, internal accounting control system, and appointment of an external auditor. A total of six agenda items were reviewed and approved, including the approval of financial statements, partial amendments to the Articles of Incorporation, appointment of a non-executive director and outside directors, appointment of an outside director to the audit committee, appointment of an audit committee member, and approval of director compensation limits.
On the day, Pulmuone appointed Hyo-yul Lee, Chairman of the Board, as a non-executive director, and reappointed Mr. Chansik Han, Ms. Jiyoon Lee, and Mr. Woojin Kim as outside directors. In addition, Ms. Mihyun Shin, HR Leader at DuPont Korea, was newly appointed as an outside director. Both the reappointed and newly appointed outside directors attended the agenda review session in the first part of the meeting and greeted shareholders in person, demonstrating their willingness to actively communicate with shareholders.

The second half of the event was dedicated to Pulmuone’s signature “Open Forum,” conducted in a talk show format. The forum began with a keynote speech by Dr. Ji-yoon Kim, who shared insights on global culinary diplomacy, K-Food’s international growth, and Pulmuone’s sustainability values.
Hosted by broadcaster Soo-jin Oh, Pulmuone Chairman Hyo-yul Lee and General CEO Woo-bong Lee took the stage to present the company’s domestic and global business performance to shareholders, followed by an in-depth open forum on Pulmuone’s future vision and sustainable growth strategies. Executives from global and domestic affiliates also participated in the forum. KS Cho, CEO of Pulmuone Foods USA, joined via video call, while Dong-hoon Lee, CEO of Pulmuone Food & Culture, and Woo-jin Kim, Chair of the Audit Committee, attended in person to address shareholder inquiries on key business issues, ESG, food tech, and digital transformation strategies. Pulmuone presented short bridge videos summarizing key discussion points at intervals during the forum to enhance shareholders's understanding.
