Pulmuone Launches Two Tofu Noodle Kits to Deliver Tasty Plant-based Protein Meal Options

◦ Specially-made plant-based sauce is added to high-protein tofu noodles to comprise a tasty plant-based protein meal

◦ Tofu crumbles in each sauce for Hot Ragu Tofu Noodle Pasta and Black Bean Sauce Tofu Noodles boost the taste by emulating red meat’s texture

 

SEOUL – Apr 13th, 2021– Pulmuone launched its first line of plant-based protein HMR (Home Meal Replacement) food products after pledging towards becoming a plant-forward food leader.

 

Pulmuone Foods announced on 13th that the company released two types of Tofu Noodle Kits, ‘Hot Ragu Tofu Noodle Pasta’ and ‘Black Bean Sauce Tofu Noodles,’ as convenient meals with high-protein tofu noodles and specially-made plant-based sauces.

 

Pulmuone announced its commitment to becoming a global leader in plant-forward foods last month, stepping up efforts to discover the future growth drivers. Domestically, the Plant Protein Meal Bureau of Pulmuone Foods is poised to launch a series of plant-based convenient foods with healthy protein. Tofu Noodle Kits, with a concept to replace carbohydrates with protein, are Pulmuone’s first line of plant-based convenient foods.

 

The Tofu Noodle Kits are easy-to-cook ready meals with the combination of tofu noodles, which was launched in May 2020, and plant-based sauces. Hot Ragu Tofu Noodle Pasta and Black Bean Sauce Tofu Noodles cook in a frying pan in just five minutes and offer a healthy and tasty meal.

 

The Tofu Noodle Kits, with its plant-based sauces, are also a good choice for vegetarian population who prefer healthier and more eco-friendly options, as the foods are made with 100 percent plant-based ingredients. Twelve percent of each sauce is comprised with tofu crumble, a tasty, healthy oven-baked high-protein tofu with chewy texture similar to meat.

 

Hot Ragu Tofu Noodle Pasta comes with a sauce made of fried tomatoes, garlics and onions, and Black Bean Sauce Tofu Noodles is with a sauce containing black bean pastes, cabbages, onions and potatoes roasted in a 284 degree Fahrenheit.

 

“We expect that the Tofu Noodle Kits can deliver health benefits, taste and convenience altogether with tofu noodles rich in protein and specially-made plant-based sauces,” said So-ri Kim, a Product Manager at the Plant Protein Meal Bureau of Pulmuone Foods.
